10 Month Position

Reports to Lead School Nurse who serves as nursing supervisor 

• Responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating school health services that maximize the quantity of in-class time by reducing the incidence of health related absenteeism, eliminate or minimize health problems which impair learning, and promote the highest degree of independent functioning possible.

• Functions independently under state and state agency guidelines and policies without on-site supervision.  Work is self-directed and autonomous. 

• Serves in the roles of program manager/coordinator, case manager/direct care provider, collaborator/advocate, educator and health counselor for schools to which assigned. 

Must have BSN in Nursing.  Preferred pediatric nursing experience and/or public health nursing experience.
